CREANEY PRIMARY SCHOOL

The sounds of instruments being played, voices singing, and various styles of music echo through the school grounds, as students from Year 1 to Year 6 enjoy their weekly music lesson under the guidance of a Specialist Music teacher. Students are introduced to the art of responding to music of varying genres, and build on foundation skills to create musical masterpieces of their own.

The classroom program is further supported by our Instrumental Program, offering select Year 5 and 6 students the unique opportunity for group music lessons on flute, clarinet, trumpet and trombone. These students have weekly lessons and the opportunity to showcase their talents by performing in front of others.

Incursions such as Akwaaba African Drumming, Kaboom Percussion and local high school bands are organised to inspire, educate and entertain Creaney students.

Creaney Primary School is known for their excellent choir who represent the school at assemblies and in the wider community. Students sing at the annual One Big Voice concert at the RAC Arena where they share the experience of singing positive, uplifting and life affirming songs with thousands of students from around the state.
