Creaney Speaks is an annual speaking and listening competition that runs throughout Years 1-6.  All students are required to give a short oral presentation on a topic of their choice in front of their class.  They are encouraged to include props, posters and visual effects for added interest.  Presentations are judged by classroom teachers initially, with Finalists by external judges.  Points are awarded for oral speaking skills as well as audience engagement.  Each year, the calibre of presentations increases as students’ speaking skills improve dramatically over time.  The event culminates in the presentation of special certificates to Year Level Finalists and medallions for Year Level winners.  A perpetual trophy (which has the winners’ names scribed on it) is housed in the Library for all to admire.
