In 2015, the school boundary fence was extended to include some beautiful old trees, shrubs and grass trees. The additional space has provided a varied, engaging space, which is very much following a ‘loose parts‘ approach. This is fantastic in terms of shared intention and negotiated play without adult guidance. A bike track was created through the ‘bush’ from crushed limestone last year, and a fabulous ‘fort’ and tunnel was erected in 2016. The area is used daily by our Pre-Primary and Year 1 students, as well as regular visits from K-6 classes.
